Your business profiles are the most valuable real estate in local marketing. When someone searches your name or your service, the profile is what they see first: your reviews, your photos, your hours, your phone number. It's often the only thing they see before deciding to call you or the next business down.
Here's what most agencies miss. Google isn't the only profile that matters anymore. Apple Maps serves every iPhone user who asks Siri for a recommendation. And Bing's index feeds Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT's search results, which means your Bing Places listing quietly shapes how AI tools describe your business. Three platforms, three sets of customers, and most businesses have claimed exactly one of them.
We manage all three as a single service. Same accurate information everywhere, each platform optimized for how it actually works.
Why three platforms and not just Google
Google Business Profile
Still the main event. The map pack drives most local search calls, and profile completeness and activity are ranking factors you fully control.
Apple Business Connect
Apple Maps, Siri, Spotlight, CarPlay. Every iPhone user who asks Siri for "a plumber near me" gets Apple's data. Most businesses have never claimed it, so it's often wrong.
Bing Places for Business
Bing powers Microsoft Copilot and feeds ChatGPT search. An optimized Bing listing directly improves how AI tools recommend you. This is the platform nobody's agency is touching.
What we manage on Google Business Profile
- Categories and services. Primary and secondary categories tuned to what you actually want to rank for, with the full services list built out and described.
- Posts. Regular updates that keep the profile active: offers, project highlights, seasonal reminders. 4 per month on Foundation, 8 on Pro.
- Reviews. Monitoring, response drafts in your voice, and a clean process for earning new reviews from real customers. Negative reviews handled carefully, not ignored.
- Photos. Fresh photos on a schedule, named and organized properly. Profiles with recent photos earn more clicks and calls.
- Products and services sections. Built out, priced where appropriate, and refreshed monthly on Pro.
- Q&A. Seeding the questions customers actually ask, answering new ones fast, and correcting wrong answers left by the public.
- Accuracy monitoring. Google lets users and its own systems suggest edits to your profile. We catch and revert bad changes before they cost you calls.
What we manage on Bing Places
- Claiming and verification. Most Bing listings were auto-generated and never claimed. We claim yours, or create it properly.
- Categories, hours, and descriptions aligned with your Google data so search engines and AI tools see one consistent story.
- Photos and attributes that carry over the same brand presentation your Google profile has.
- The Copilot and ChatGPT connection. Bing's index is a primary source for Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT search results. We keep the listing complete and accurate so AI engines have good data to pull from.
What we manage on Apple Business Connect
- Claiming your place card and correcting the data Apple gathered on its own, which is frequently outdated.
- Showcases, Apple's version of posts and offers, kept current.
- Hours, categories, photos, and action links (call, directions, book) configured for how iPhone users actually engage.
- Siri visibility. Accurate, complete Apple data is what gets you recommended when someone asks Siri instead of typing a search.
The optimization checklist we run for every client
Every engagement starts with the same full sweep across all three platforms: verify ownership, correct NAP (name, address, phone) everywhere, kill duplicate listings, set precise categories, build out services with descriptions, load current photos, set service areas correctly, configure attributes, seed Q&A, audit review position against your top three competitors, and set a baseline so next month's report shows real movement. Then the monthly cycle keeps every item current.
Mistakes that quietly hurt your rankings
Set-it-and-forget-it profiles
Google rewards activity. A profile with no new posts, photos, or review responses in six months reads as a business nobody chose. Consistent activity is the cheapest ranking lever there is.
Wrong or generic categories
Your primary category is one of the strongest ranking signals on the profile. "Lawyer" instead of "Criminal defense attorney" or "Contractor" instead of "HVAC contractor" throws away rankings you could own.
Inconsistent information across platforms
Different phone numbers on Google and Bing, an old address on Apple, a duplicate listing splitting your reviews. Search engines and AI tools cross-check sources, and inconsistency reads as unreliability.
Ignoring reviews, or answering them badly
Unanswered reviews signal an unattended business. Defensive replies to negative reviews do worse damage. There's a right way to respond, and it shows up in both rankings and conversion.
Letting unmonitored edits stand
Google accepts edit suggestions from the public and its own algorithms. Businesses lose correct hours, categories, and even phone numbers this way without ever knowing. Somebody has to be watching.
